outdatedtv Hooked at once, just the mood I needed. Very good quality on progrock.com. Ordered vinyls and FLAC instantly.
EDIT: Listened the entire album from my DAC and FLAC files, it is a journey, it is amazing. The free listen files available on bandcamp do NOT do justice to the tremendous production. I am a fan of Eloy, Porcupine Tree and King Crimson on a daily basis and if the work of the aforementioned clicks well with you, this work is to be highly recommended. Favorite track: The Confluence.

ragone13 really enjoying the new album !! the production is phenomenal ! Pete's bass playing is very different here than on Marillion and Transatlantic and I love the tone! Eric is in fine form on all fronts! Having Ric flesh out the guitar and bass was a masterstroke. Both Henry and Lisa have chops to spare!! very strong addition to the EC catalog. anyone who likes progressive rock in general especially those who are into Pink Floyd!

i've spent 30 years on this stormy road so much time away from my home tell me everything will be alright but i can't see you anymore maybe i've gone blind... i've lived a long and lonely time seen far too much for any man alive i've been led astray everything that i've ever known has washed away...
2.
the london 619 goes careening off the track sirens light the sky then it all fades to black a premonition ... why did you ignore the signs, there won't be a second time your oxygen grew thin as your lips fade to pale pulled out from the wreckage as the train had derailed an intuition ... you had reached of the road. how could you not have known?

Asphyxiation 04:44
submerged down below underneath this undertow always supposed to be where you live now thrive dwell dragging me down into yet un-chartered waters lost in this tidal zone the airway dissipates feed on what is left feeding on the depths of my soul fighting for one last breath drifting out to the edge of my world out of sight out of mind washed away with the tide til there's nothing left to remain... of what i was grains of sand from the edges of the sea brought back from her deep ocean filling heart lungs throat heavy and dense breathing viscosity last trace of oxygen last pulse of energy breath that one last breath pressure continues to grow colors they dissolve and fade down to the depths of this deepest underworld hold on as long as i can before the darkness began til there's nothing left to remain of who i was til the storm took away who i was... til the surge washed away who i was ...til there's nothing left to remain of what i was...

so the writing was on the wall & you must've seen it all but you were wrapped in your own little world the warnings had all commenced but it was of little consequence you thought that you could ride it out so you rode out to the gray as it lit up like midday never one to walk away you were resigned you had fallen for the trap & there was now no turning back you had crossed onto the approaching front line... run if you need to • hide if you want to • say what you want to to save your life do what you have to • cry if you need to • don't let it beat you save your life

Indigenous 03:46
The sun will rise and with the wicked rain will come Purging from the earth those who have taken from her bosom At moonlight the wolves cry as the rain turns to hail Battering every home Battering every sail You take from mother earth you give back in its place You take from the soil you grow that which will sustain Our people will survive for the respect we give her lands Our people will thrive knowing that it is she who commands, Without the goddess of the sun the crops will never grow Without the goddess of the rain the waters will not flow Without respect for what our Mother Earth gives our tribe Without love for her gifts our people will not survive. A lesson is to be learned as you have forsaken her gift of life. A time has come to burn everything you have built with all your strife And when the darkness falls your blood will fill the grass And when the darkness falls you will understand the power of her wrath... Run if you need to . Hide if you have to Say what you want to To save your life Do what you have to Cry if you need to Don't let it beat you To save your life... For your life...

The Surge 08:28
There's nothing you haven't heard before They're just the facts of the background noise Run for your life when the bell tolls your time People will run some will follow you but you're always tried for the things you do Riding the Surge is a test of your nerve. Ride It Out These cities can stand proud and stay intact but they'll turned down in seconds flat Running around with their heads in the clouds Making amends now for nature's revenge. Ride It Out This is like nothing you've seen before It's not a drill this is all out war Run you can try but there's no way to hide Look to the skies while they're watching their backs Best try to leave now it's time to make tracks Ride It Out!

the rain has come we’ve lost the sun reminisce of when we were young you wake up to find... a cold gray morning we contemplate the choices we make not understanding just what’s at stake i can swear ... i’ve been here before it’s probably now the time... to start trying to find... the answers in your mind... it’s been there all the time... you know the past is bittersweet resolutions are incomplete and once you cross that line there's no returning from that moment on the sky is clear from all your cares and all your fears and you wake up to find another cold gray morning it’s probably now the time... to start trying to find... the answers in your mind... it’s been there all the time... it's gonna be fine we're in the clear just follow my line... we're almost here just let go and feel it all surround you the clouds are almost gone they're starting to part feel the warmth embrace your heart you wake up to find a whole new morning take me back to the sun... come see what you've become... don't let the rains overrun... don't be burned by the sun. the rain has come we've lost the sun reminisce of when we were young... you wake up to find... a cold gray morning

Another long day has come to end Heading out towards the evening sun The sky turns crimson in its wake Setting sail into the dead calm There isn't a moment when I am not afraid I've even knelt down on my knees and prayed You may think it is so lonely on the sea But it's the last place that feels like home for me It's 2 in the morning and I am still awake Startled by a foreboding that I just couldn't shake A distant coyote howling in the dark And a murder of crows are fleeing to the north I can still see that look upon your face And it still haunts me until this very day But even as those dark visions fade my mind I clutch onto them and the world I left behind There's nothing left here in this world for me So this old man sets out his course for sea As the Harbormaster sounds his last alarm I set sail into the dead calm the dead calm...

The Tempest 06:12
light up the sky the tempest erupting and everything else will be washed away collect up all your earthly possessions the rest of the world has been reclaimed the waves will eclipse the tallest buildings everything in its path will surely drown the world will descend to a watery graveyard it's time to head to higher ground we've modernized our infrastructure at the expense of our own resource evoking the wrath of mother nature now she's come back to reclaim it all look to the sky the tempest is spinning look the sea the surge will flow look to the earth the tremors are rumbling look out humans we're on our own... category 5's are churning up a path of destruction on the gulf stream F5 tornadoes attacking our cities till there's nothing left of society the oceans temperatures are rising making super-cell hurricanes causing overwhelming destruction to the point that they've begun to annihilate we've modernized our infrastructure at the expense of our own resource evoking the wrath of mother nature now she's come back to reclaim it all look to the sky the tempest is spinning look the sea the surge will flow look to the earth the tremors are rumbling look out humans we're on our own... mother nature has come to purge us removing the virus to which she gave birth putting an end to human existence and restoring the balance to planet earth

smoldering along barely embers of a flame inferno reached the sky and burned it all away you could have called for help but you thought you could escape it happened all so fast and suddenly it was too late why didn't you go? why didn't you go?... thunder filled the air as the lightning crossed the sky emergency lights glowed as you felt the sudden dive what was once skyward had slipped below your feet free falling through the night to the clouds underneath you must have known there was nowhere else to go...

she started out at dusk for several weeks trawling out at sea hoping to keep at bay those would repossess her keep it was a desert on the reach for nearly a season’s time the Andrea his only love had fallen several monthly payments behind all he needed was a lucky break to stop the debtors encroaching calls but you can’t expect a man to eat based solely on the luck of the draw he was enchanted by the sea as a child back when his father still influenced his mind he said the man with the roughest hands... he will be the one who will best provide so he sailed off to the reach on an angry sea of darkening clouds for that once in a lifetime catch hoping to make his father proud it was the perfect confluence as the nor'easter drove up the coast merging with the mighty eastern front forming the perfect holy ghost it was the best catch of his life and as the Gale finally took its toll the Andrea was lost in the night... the sea gives up what she will so go and catch your fill but prepared to her debt sometimes with her strife ... sometimes with your life... the lighthouse guided his way a foghorn blared its siren's song a sudden quiet fell upon the sea as she sailed out into the dead calm you can take from her keep but be prepared to pay the toll as he sailed into the disturbance fields the sea claimed yet another salty soul her briny deep may bring the perfect peace but when you cross the autumn equinox from the angel will suddenly emerge the BEAST

i've lived a long and lonely time seen too much for any man alive maybe i've gone blind... everything has drifted away and left me behind you've heard my tale from your forlorn friend now my transmission will come to an end i'd hoped to make it through this day everything that i ever was has washed away...

about

The Disturbance Fields are the physical manifestations that mother nature's fury can take against the human race due to our mistreatment of the oceans, rainforests and overdevelopment of urban landmasses. This has resulted in dramatic climatic changes in the temperatures of the earth and the sea and is the cause of far stronger and more violent storms and destructive natural events.

The Disturbance Fields features just one song... a 68 minute epic piece of music called “Washed Away” that takes you on a journey of a man fighting all of the forces of Mother Nature' wrath

It is also personally based on the fact that during these recording sessions of all of Edison's Children's current and upcoming albums that we were hit by a hurricane, a 6.0 earthquake, a tornado and a massive blizzard which caused a state of emergency. Having experienced first hand much of what Mother Nature's ferocity can deliver ... it was natural for the band to write a concept that maybe... we've crossed that line and perhaps Mother Nature has come to purge the world of what has become its biggest liability... human nature
