From Pete Trewavas and Eric Blackwood's "Edison's Children"
With Marillion's next masterpiece gearing up this summer at Racket, Edison's Children is going to hold off on the recording of its next "epic" until after the release of "Marillion 18". (As, we want to hear it as much as you do!).

However... we wouldn't want to leave you without anything, until then. Because of this, we are proud to announce that we will begin an immediate pre-order for our new "bridge album"... something to take you from our last album to our next and it is appropriately titled...

    "Somewhere Between Here And There..."

    This CD will feature:

-- 14 never before heard, new and remixed tracks including 7 brand new songs totaling nearly 80 minutes of music! This includes the 3 songs that Eric Blackwood just debuted for you at the Marillion Weekend in Montreal...

-- Never before released: A Million Miles Away (I Wish I Had A Time Machine) - Live From Wolves from the 2013 Marillion Weekend!

-- King Crimson Lead Singer Jakko Jakszyk was recommended to us, by Steven Wilson to help Edison's Children mix their 2nd CD "The Final Breath Before November". However after mixing 4 songs, we decided that while they were excellent mixes, they didn't quite have the Edison's Children "sound". John Mitchell would remix the songs for the album (with only The Final Breath appearing from Jakko on the actual CD). For the first time ever hear the other 3 songs as they were originally mixed by Jakko. This will finally include the highly anticipated "Where Were You? -Jakko Whisper Mix", complete with the 2 minute longer "whispery ending" which has been the rumor mill of E.C. forums for over a year now.

-- When Mike Hunter mixed the epic song "The Longing", he mixed two very different versions. One was a beautiful and lush orchestral mix and the other, a powerful and complex rock anthem. After taking 3 days of listening to each mix, Pete and Eric decided that Mike's amazing "Rock Mix" would be a defining song for Edison's Children. Now you finally get to listen to the more "orchestral version" that Mike Hunter produced, which nearly made it to the album!

We hope that this 3rd Edison's Children release will keep you warm and fuzzy throughout the coming summer months, until we can complete our next epic concept album.

Here I am Light Years from home Among these stars is now where I roam I never thought you would be So many Light Years from me” Funny how I had always strayed, too far behind you Now I’m lost here in Outerspace, I thought I’d find you Drifted off onto far off clouds when the sun came to shine on me Now I’m lost in this universe, please come bring me back to Earth Looking at how we drifted away, I took for granted Now I’m lost here in Outerspace, those seeds we planted You don’t always appreciate what you’ve got until it’s gone Now I’ll search celestial seas, what is gonna bring you back to me? You thought you had what you were looking for… all along You never know what you’ve got until its gone You were searching in all the wrong places It’s in the stars tonight, you just have to look up and see it shining bright Now I sit here alone in space, trying to rewind What I wouldn’t give to go Light Years back in time And say exactly what I want to say without fear of losing you Now I’m lost in this lunacy, pretending like you’re here with me...

Well I landed here the other day and I feel I've already lost my way around... In this lonely town. And I need someone to take my hand and lead me through this foreign land oh how? Don't let me down... Sinking into the sand... someone to take my hand... don't walk away... lead me astray... I'm a Stranger In A Foreign Land Well you left me here all alone, when I needed to feel your love the most and I... don't want to cry. As my faith continues to grow in you i'm not quite sure what I might do cause I... don't want to die. Sinking into the sand... someone to take my hand... don't walk away... lead me astray... I'm a Stranger In A Foreign Land

Na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na na You've got me spinning turning round and around. Sometimes I'm up and sometimes I'm down again. It's such a carry on with things never said. We've never been strangers, will we ever be friends. I don't know what's going on. I'll work it out before too long. I get this feeling going round and around. Head over heels and tumbling down. I hear you talking, but there's nobody there. Where do I turn if it's all in my mind. I don't know what's going on. I'll work it out before too long. I don't know just how to feel. Tell now is anything real. Na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na na I don't know what's going on. I'll work it out before too long. I don't know just how to feel. Tell now is anything real.

Here i'm hanging on a ledge ... am i standing in your footsteps? Someone's gonna wake up dead and even still you can't resist it. i'm goin' down, i'm broken down and i growing down to Brooklyn Take me back, i'm goin' back, am I growing back in Brooklyn Soon you learn to need the life, though you might not see tomorrow Why do we always live to die, why do we always need the sorrow? i'm goin' down, i'm broken down and i growing down to Brooklyn Take me back, i'm going back, won't you take me back to Brooklyn? I never wanted it to be this way, everything was in control Suddenly something went awry, God please won't you save my soul? it's out of control... So now I lay me down to rest and I think it's best I leave you Know you'll be safe here in my mind... all this time I still believed in you. It's just the road that I have chose, it's just a part of the system Live by the sword, die by the sword won't you take me back to Brooklyn Am I growing down in Brooklyn?

sometime ago, i don't know where, i saw the most beautiful angel magical eyes and i was hypnotized, i knew right then that she would be mine cause someone took my heart away. some took it far away. someone took my heart away and it was you... someone took my breath away, i didn't know just what to say, because someone took my breath away and it was you. sometime ago, i don't know where, i saw the most beautiful cathedral the preacher turned and said, and with thee i wed, i now pronounce you lion and angel. cause someone took my heart away someone took it far away, someone took my heart away and it was you and it was you...

i wish i had a time machine, so i wouldn’t have to dream. i understand your need to be, a million miles away from me. the sky was so brilliant blue and i was lost in the sunshine of you... and it’s another sunny day, but your a million miles away... away... from me. i wish i could change your mind the way it has a thousand times. remember how it felt that day, when you looked at me that way? i wish i had a time machine, so i wouldn’t have to dream but i understand your need to be, a million miles away from me. the sky was so brilliant blue, and i was lost in the sunshine of you. ...and its another sunny day but you’re a million miles away. and someday you will wake up and this will all have gone away. it’s time to make your mind up because that someday is today. today... i wish i had a time machine so i can finally end this dream but i understand you have to be... a million miles away from me...

- i The Wrong When I looked to the sky it was from the wrong side of the rainbow The rains had all gone but the sun refused to shine The forest before the trees, burned to ash and embers As the calm before the storm brought turbulence to the great divide - ii The Acolyte Don’tcha want to see it? Don’tcha want to be it? Don’tcha want to need it? Don’tcha want to bleed it? Don’tcha want to heed it? Don’tcha want to seed it? Don’tcha want to feed it? Don’tcha want to eat it? - iii The Hollows From miles away… From mountains to borders The storms would rise Across horizons into skies A seer’s gaze... Looked down upon the Hollows Only to fathom It will never again be the same. - iv The Road (Less Traveled) The road less traveled Had arrived at its destination There was no place like home Left for us to reside And the show that must go on Completed it’s final performance The darkness before the dawn Would never give way to light…

A Winter’s fire burning bright Funny the things you long for… Warming your soul in the night Funny the things you long for… Now I feel so cold aching in my bones I just want a place to call home And I will roam this netherworld Until I know that you are never alone One more chance to say goodbye Funny the things that you long for… One more chance to hold you tight Funny the things you long for… Wandering in and out of your mind When I had to desert you I know you feel so betrayed I never wanted to hurt you Even when you feel all alone, I won’t be far from home Just close your eyes And I will be all around you… Was I really there or just the fleeting vision from the corner of your eye? Just a vision from your mind overwhelmed by that chill inside A glimpse into a world completely lost in its own despair I can’t move on from here until I know that I’m in there Forevermore… So when things fall from the wall that’s just my way of making a curtain call Ever creek in the floor, ever squeak in the door ...every noise in the hall So when you get up at night and see a strange sort of light It’s the way that you know I will watch over you from The Longing…

Something disturbed the light Is there really someone out there? Lurking out of sight... Fractions of a broken night sky I’m just one… another lost soul… (Just a Silhouette) Now I can’t find my way home (Another Silhouette) Among the stars is now where I roam (A fading Silhouette) Here I am, light years from home… Just a Silhouette A Fading Silhouette From a long time ago.

Where were you when the hurricanes came? Where were you for the Eastern rains? Where were you? Where were you when the winds came forth? Where were you when the gales blew north? Where were you? (In My Head Section): I’ve wanted to walk back out into the warmth of the morning sun. It’s in my head… Won’t you take me back to where the rivers used to run? It’s in my head… my head………… Where were you when the winter came south? Where were you for the 7 year drought? Where were you? Where were you when the rivers ran dry? Where were you when the crops all died? Where were you? Bridge: No I can’t get back... Yet I want to get back... But the cards are all stacked... You know I need to get back.. It’s the only thing stopping my memory... Fade and fall! And I can’t get back... But I want to get back... No, the cards are all stacked... And I need to get back... They’re the only things stopping my memory... Fade and fall! (Are you out of your tiny mind?) Where were you when the quakes broke ground? Where were you when the mountains came down? Where were You? Where were you when the horseman rode west? Where were you when the 4 came to rest? Where were you? ("In My Head" Section): I’ve wanted to walk back out into the warmth of the morning sun. It’s in my head… Take me back to where the rivers used to run. It’s in my head… my head… my head….. Won’t you let me be there when it all was still so young? It’s in my head.....

Something’s under the bed - Waiting for you to fall in slumber They say it’s all in your head - A nightmare or some frightening thunder Things better left unsaid - They’ll only think that you’ve gone bonkers And soon they’ll start to spread - And soon you’ll know that you’ve been conquered They’ll follow you everywhere - They’re a part of all of our shadows Complete Unaware - Revealing themselves on All Hallows Un-Agressively well prepared - They’re just very Opportunistic You’ll soon let down your hair - What’s next is nothing short of sadistic...
