Song Eric Blackwood was playing live during a Marillion Soundcheck in 2005 when Pete Trewavas jumped onstage to join him. Pete asked Eric after playing this track to start a band together thus creating Edson's Children. One of the first songs ever recorded by Edison's Children (during the original Black Dirt Studio sessions in Sugar Loaf NY in between the North American and European legs of the Transatlantic "Whirlwind Tour") but never used because it never fit any of the themes in any previous albums... and also because both Eric and Pete were unsatisified with the original demos of this recording. Much of it has been re-recorded for this album
Well I landed here the other day and I feel I've already lost my way around...
In this lonely town.
And I need someone to take my hand and lead me through this foreign land oh how?
Don't let me down...
Sinking into the sand... someone to take my hand... don't walk away... lead me astray...
I'm a Stranger In A Foreign Land
Well you left me here all alone, when I needed to feel your love the most and I... don't want to cry.
As my faith continues to grow in you i'm not quite sure what I might do cause I... don't want to die.
Sinking into the sand... someone to take my hand... don't walk away... lead me astray...
